I went to the GreenMachine (a.k.a. ATM) yesterday to check my account balance and print an Account Activity. After I got my printout, I walked out and went inside our building and something just didn't feel right. I opened my wallet again and checked the printout, and something told me to check my bank card. To my amazement, it wasn't there and I panicked. I realized, I left the card in the machine without responding "No" to the "Do you want another transaction". Good thing I was still in the lobby of the building and the machine was just outside of the same building. I went back, noticed that the girl I saw when I left the machine was still in the line and I went straight to the machine. There was a guy already there and when I said "Excuse me..." he handed me my card without even looking who it was. All I was able to say was "Oh! Thank you!" and went back to the building again. I still didn't feel fine after that, I was already in the elevator and I thought I should check my account again just to make sure. Fortunately for me, that guy didn't do anything to my money and just responded "No" to the abovementioned question. He could have answered "Yes" to it, checked my balance, and withdraw at least my maximum limit for the day.
Funny how sometimes we don't seem to feel or think grateful enough to thank somebody you don't even know who did something extra ordinary for you. In my panicked state of mind, I didn't even wait for that guy to finish his transaction before asking him if he found my card so I would at least have the opportunity to see his face and thank him. Since I wasn't able to do that, I still would like to thank YOU, Mr. Unknown, for your good deed. I hope that by coincidence you get into my online blog and read this. The Green Machine is located in Yonge and Adelaide, whenever I see the machine, I always think of how dumb and ungrateful I was. SO THANK YOU!!!
I'll still check my account before I go home today to see if nothing funky really happened.. oh! there I go again....
And it is smoggy inside and outside, my head hurts....
